I am very passionate about fashion and feel that I would be an asset to this course. At a young age I feel in love with fashion and clothes, as I got older I found that I enjoy designing and making garments. I enjoy reading fashion magazine, visiting fashion shows and mainly designing garments.

I understand that this course is very advanced and a big step from A-level however I am very willing to learn and hard working. The work I have submitted below show my desire fashion and I feel I have the experience and the willing for this course.

Media: Vogue Magazine

For my Media coursework I had to produce a magazine article based around an existing publication. I had to write about a topic that I was interest in and link it to media.The article below is about fashion in the movies and how it affects the film and the audience. I had to base the article around the film that I produced a trailer for. 

Fashion Show

These are images from the fashion show that I mentioned in my personal statement. We got clothes from many brand and designers and raised a lot of money for charity. 

AS Textiles: Fashion Top

This is my fashion top which I produced last year. It is a black poly-cotton top with a sequined neck band. This was my AS textiles project which was a fashionable evening top for Spring/Summer. I made this garment from a basic block which modified to the correct measurements and style. I then produced a toile to check that the size is correct and that all the components fit together. 

Final Designs

This is the one of the final designs for the project, where in my folder I have included fabric and decorative samples. This is a navy blue chiffon or silk fabric with silk dyed fabric wrapped around it. 

Here is one of my final designs, where I have tried to incorporate the theme of water by making three dimensional waves on the fabric.

A2 Textiles: Initial Designs

These are the designs for my current textiles project mentioned earlier. I have done rough designs of the silhouette and detail of the garment. Also i annotated any special or unique features on the designs.

Here is the research for my current A2 Textiles project. The brief is states that I must design an evening garment for a red carpet style event inspired by Versace and Anita Masserella and the theme of water, therefore I have annotated many images of Versace dresses that have unique and inspiration components or techniques.

This is the mood board for this project. As mentioned earlier the brief is for a red carpet style garment and with the theme of water, therefore I created a mood board of different images found on the internet and magazines.
